Harry Houdini is probably the most famous magician of all time.

In his time, he was known as the best escape artist ever.  He could escape from shackles, from inside safes and even escaped from a prison cell (legend has it).

Born March 24th, 1874 as Erik Weisz.  Billed throughout Europe as “Harry Handcuff Houdini” where he would challenge police to lock him in a jail cell only to escape later.

He was well known for his Straight-Jacket Escapes and his Buried Alive Illusions.

Harry also traveled the world debunking spiritualists.  That means that he busted anybody he thought was creating fake ghosts and/or “voices from the past”.

He died on October 31st, 1926, but still remains the biggest name in Magic.
